-NF S 54-300, EN 716-1 and EN 716-2

The French standard NF S 54-300 concerns the educational equipment of motor skills: verification of the strength, stability, absence of risk of entrapment for children from 0 to 12 years. All our furniture and motor structures comply with this standard and the standards EN 716-1 and EN 716-2 with regard to the diameters of the holes and the distance between two structural elements which must be less than or equal to 65 millimetres in order to avoid trapping a child between bars.

-EN 71-3

The European standard EN 71 certifies the safety of toys. Part 3 of this standard concerns health risks, including the migration of certain elements (classification index S 51-214). Migration means the different emissions, VOC or heavy metals, in particular, which may be emitted by paints or solvents added to the final product. The standard certifies the objects, but also the paints and varnishes that can be in contact with children.

All our furniture, motor structures and teaching materials comply with the EN 71-3 standard.

-EN 14749

This European standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods applicable to the structures of all types of storage furniture. It ensures that the piece of furniture will not spill under the weight of drawers and other moving parts. All our furniture and our motor-learning structures comply with the EN 14749 standard.

-MATERIALS

The plywood all birch (S/BB or B/BB according to the manufacturers) is a homogeneous 100% birch high quality panel made of cross folds. It is certified WBP and meets the standards EN 314. It also enters the M3 class as a low combustibility material.

This high quality composite wood is certified according to E1 standards and has performance below the requirements of this European standard for formaldehyde fumes.

Some elements of some of our products are in beech or solid pine also complying with CE standards.

-VARNISHES or paints

All our child/baby furniture respects the French standard EN 71-3. This standard indicates that finishing products that may be in contact with children do not include any health risks : no VOC or heavy metal emissions from paints or varnishes added to the final product.

Varnishes and paints of our furniture, motor structures and teaching materials are lead-free and non-toxic. In addition, the small educational materials likely to be worn at the mouth of a child are essentially natural wood without any finishing touches.
