A wheeled cart to develop coordination and balance

The wheeled cart is a rolling object designed to be pushed or pulled by children. Its castors make it easy to move around on different surfaces. It's an object much appreciated by young children, who appreciate being able to use it to stand up, take their first steps and carry a multitude of small objects.

The children's cart: a stable structure and a noble material

Our wooden cart is designed for stability. This makes it easier for young children to stand upright. Robust, it's also heavier than the child, so it won't tip over or break under his or her weight. Adult supervision is still required for the use of the child's cart, especially until the child is able to walk. Our children's cart is made of all-birch plywood. The grab bar is made of beech or poplar. A satin-finish acrylic varnish gives the wood final protection.

The wheeled cart: beneficial for motor coordination, gross motor skills and walking

This little "car" on wheels forces children to maintain their balance while coordinating the movements of their upper and lower limbs. They learn to adjust their posture and control the direction of the carriage according to their intention to push or pull. This motor coordination contributes to the development of their oculomotor and proprioceptive skills. The cart encourages children to move around actively, using their whole body. It's the ally of free motricity. The toddler pushes the wooden cart in front of him or pulls it behind him. This activity encourages gross motor skills. It can also stimulate the practice of walking, providing support and motivation to move around with this mobile object. Such a cart is sometimes referred to as a child's walking cart.

A wooden cart for evolving uses

This toy will accompany your child for many months. It is a material that supports the child's free motor skills as soon as he can sit up on his own and tries to move into an upright position. It provides support, while forcing the child to find the necessary balance to avoid being carried away by the movement of the cart.  The child improves his walking. Then, as the months go by, he uses the cart like a real toy. They carry their favorite things in the cart's tray, which is 10.5 cm deep in the model we offer. This is a very popular activity for children up to at least 3 years of age. They love to slip in their figurines, toy cars or any other collection of objects. Once the child has acquired a sufficiently stable walk, he can swap his wooden cart for a wheelbarrow. With our wooden wheelbarrowHe will continue to make progress with his motor skills.
