Use : The captive Bell Rattle is one of the first hearing materials to be offered around the 2Th months. It is perfectly suited to a child's small hand, unlike many children's toys that are too large. By offering a sound rattle to a child of this age, the grasping reflex is stimulated and the hand develops for deliberate grasping as the reflex fades and is replaced by the sensible gesture. As the child makes movements with his/her arms and later when he/she voluntarily shakes the material, he/she will be attracted by the soft sound he/she makes. The child will start to follow the sound with his/her eyes, helping sensory development.
